This morning, caught your last laugh.
We're turning, and we won't know why.
And the letters you sent, in the mail yesterday,
they told me the story, that you'd nothing to say.
And I'll try once for all to belong,
the feelings I have don't last long.
When I saw you last Wednesday, I called out your name,
just for a second was love framed again.
And I'll always remember your smile,
I'll never forget what we were.
It's not always like this, at least so I'm told,
watching the new life fall into the old.
And we'll always return to this point, though I'll never change anymore.
